Skyrim DLC Todd Howard Interview

If there wasn’t already enough reason to get your hands on a copy of Elder Scrolls V Skyrim for your console, then now you have absolutely no excuse.

A new interview with Bethesda’s Executive Producer took place this week with a gaming group called ausgamers. The interview came as a pleasant surprised to Elder Scrolls fans everywhere as some neat new tid bits of information were released about the upcoming Skyrim release.

The DLC’s for Skyrim will be fewer in number, but the content included will be substantial.

The details or specifics for the DLC are still unknown, at this stage of pre-release I would be curious if the developers themselves knew yet.

If you played Oblivion and are up-to-date on the previous title’s DLC you would know there was only one substantial release (Besides the Shivering Isles expansion) called Knights of the Nine. The DLC for Skyrim will add an additional 15+ hours of game play to the title, if the included 300 hours isn’t enough for you.

There was other good news in this interview besides just DLC info. Bethesda has made the choice to allow your player character to continue playing and exploring the world after completion of the game. Bethesda made the mistake of not including this functionality in some of it’s previous titles (think Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas) and based on some overwhelmingly unhappy fans, it’s a relief to know we can count on never-ending exploration post-game.

Want to see the interview yourself??

Check it out right here: (Thanks to our friends ausgamers for getting this interview!)
