Bethesda made it’s latest earth shattering announcement – they will be releasing an extremely limited edition version of Elder Scrolls V : Skyrim.
A collector’s edition
This is quite possibly the most massive collector’s edition any video game has ever seen. What does it include? Let’s take an in-depth look at what is CE masterpiece edition of Skyrim has to offer.

First off, let’s answer the obvious questions.

YES. The Skyrim Collector’s edition will be available on the PC, Xbox 360, and the PS3.
When will the Elder Scrolls V : Skyrim Collector’s Edition
The CE release date will fall in line with the Skyrim release date which is currently scheduled for November 11th, 2011.
So, what the heck is so awesome about this extra special collector’s edition?
- A Statue of Alduin. A mastercrafted 12″ statue modeled from 3D art from the Elder Scrolls V in-game graphics.
- Skyrim Art. A beautifully made 200 page fully illustrated coffee table book (9 3/8″ x 12 1/8″) which will have a huge variety of Skyrim art such as weapons, characters, wild life, and terrain.
- A special “Making of Skyrim” DVD which will include special behind-the-scenes video and exclusive interviews with Bethesda developers and staff who provide never before seen interviews about Skyrim gameplay, story, settings, lore, and the creation of the entire Elder Scrolls series.
Sounds pretty great, huh? Unfortunately, the collector’s edition doesn’t come without sacrifice. The expected retail price for this special edition of Skyrim will come at an unheard of price tag of $150.
No pain, no gain though, right?
Regardless of the surprising price, chances are I’ll be updating my pre-order shortly to get my hands on these special goodies!
Updated my pre-order yesterday. Apparently this is super rare as my local stores only had 1 copy for PC and 2 copies each for 360 and PS3. The PC version sold out in Australia within 4hrs after announcement.
first off… you need to be faster on your ifo the collectors eddition came out on the 5th..second i dont belive 150 dollars is worth it… I like the book and the dvd but the statue is overkill…its cool but simply its the resion why im not going to get it… I have been waiting for this to come out since the game was announced and i am so disapointid on what they did… the dragon is simply a bad idea it would be so much beer if it was 6 inches and the set came with soe cool ingame content and then it would be worth 150 atleast they could present it in a nice box insted of the big cardbored box this eddition is morethan likly to come in
I love this idea but not the price, I can get a games console with 2-3 games for that price.
